We hope this message finds you well. At Rock Salt Albany, we strive to provide you with a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. To ensure that your visit goes smoothly, we would like to share some important information regarding bookings, our cancellation policy, and our commitment to responsible service.

**Dining Options and Guidelines at Rock Salt:**

  1. Half Portions and Smaller Portions: At Rock Salt, we understand that our patrons have diverse appetites and preferences. To accommodate your needs, we offer the option of ordering half portions or smaller portions of our dishes. However, it's important to note that while we provide this flexibility, these portions are not priced at half of the regular portion. We kindly request your understanding in this matter.

    • Rationale: This policy is in place because preparing half or smaller portions often involves additional work in terms of portioning and plating. We want to ensure that each dish maintains the high quality and presentation that Rock Salt is known for.         

  2. Sharing Meals: We encourage you to enjoy your dining experience with friends and family by sharing your meals. We are more than happy to accommodate this request, as we understand that it's a great way to explore our diverse menu. However, for the convenience of sharing, we do charge a nominal fee of $10 to cover the extra amenities required for serving shared meals.

    • Rationale: Sharing meals can be a delightful experience, but it may require additional tableware, serving utensils, and, in some cases, adjustments in the kitchen. This fee helps us provide you with a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.                              

  3. Dish Preparation Times: Our commitment to offering fresh and high-quality dishes means that preparation times may vary for each item on our menu. We want you to savor each dish at its best, and to achieve this, we will serve your meals as soon as they are ready. This might result in dishes for your table arriving at different times.

    • Rationale: By serving each dish as soon as it's ready, we ensure that you experience the full flavor and freshness of each dish. This approach aligns with our dedication to providing you with a top-notch dining experience.

**Booking Information:**

For parties of up to 8 people, we encourage you to conveniently make your reservations online through our website.

If your group exceeds 8 people, please reach out to us via email at info@rocksaltalbany.com or give us a call. We will gladly assist you in making arrangements and ensure that your gathering aligns with any current restrictions.

**Cancellation Policy:**

**Reservation No-Show Policy at Rock Salt**


At Rock Salt, we kindly request that if you've reserved a table and are unable to make it, please inform us at least 24 hours before your booking time. Failure to do so, or if you don't show up without prior notice, will result in a charge of $40 per head. Our dining slots are limited to 12 guests every 30 minutes, and your reservation ensures the availability of our carefully crafted dishes.

**Rationale:**
As a quality fine dining establishment, we operate on a reservation-based system to provide an intimate and enjoyable dining experience. When reservations go unfulfilled without notice, it affects not only our ability to serve other guests but also results in food wastage. All our dishes, from entrees to desserts, are freshly prepared on a daily basis, and some ingredients cannot be reused. By implementing this policy, we aim to minimize losses and continue offering high-quality dining experiences. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the excellence of our service.

. Please note that deposits for events, buffet services, or ticketed events are non-refundable in the case of failure to show up for a booking, late cancellations, or a decrease in the number of guests.

VIP Special event policy for Rock Salt:

We understand that plans can change, and sometimes unforeseen circumstances may lead to the need for cancellations. However, for our event, we would like to draw your attention to our cancellation policy:

"Here at Rock Salt, we recognize that sometimes plans may need adjustments and unforeseen circumstances can arise. To ensure the best possible experience for all our guests, we have implemented the following event policy:

 

1. **Non-Refundable Deposit:** To secure your reservation for the event, a non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable due to the meticulous preparation and sourcing of ingredients by our culinary team well in advance of the event. Our commitment to providing exceptional dishes means we cannot offer refunds for cancellations. Should your plans change, we kindly request that you cancel your booking at least 2 weeks before the event. Please note that cancellations within 2 weeks of the event will incur a ticket charge of the full amount .

 

2. **Refund Policy:** While we sincerely hope you won't need to cancel, we understand that unforeseen situations can occur. Our refund policy is as follows:

 

3. **Non-Refundable Deposit:** The initial deposit made for reservations remains non-refundable. This policy is in place to uphold the quality and excellence of our dining experience for all our valued guests.

 

 

4. **Event Cancellation by the Organizer:** In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the scheduled event, a full refund will be provided to all guests who have made reservations.

**Damages & Lost Property:**

While you celebrate your event at Rocksalt, please be mindful of your personal belongings, including any decorations or setups brought or delivered to our restaurant. We regret that Rocksalt cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to your property, as well as any harm caused to the building, facilities, or furnishings of our venue during your event.

**Responsible Service of Alcohol:**

We adhere to the State Government regulations regarding the responsible service of alcohol. It is essential for us to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. As such, individuals we believe to be intoxicated, underage drinkers, or engaged in disorderly behavior may be refused beverage service and, if necessary, asked to leave our premises. We kindly request your assistance in ensuring that your guests act responsibly and respectfully while visiting our venue.

In the event of any disruptive behavior that may pose a concern to our guests or staff, management reserves the right to terminate the function and, if required, contact the authorities, with no refund of any monies.

**Public Holidays:**

Please be aware that a 15% surcharge applies on public holidays.
