Please Read Before Booking

These Terms & Conditions form part of your booking agreement with Rock Salt Albany. By making a booking, attending, dining, purchasing tickets, or participating in any buffet event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

⭐ IMPORTANT INFORMATION

BUFFET SESSION TIMES

All buffet bookings are allocated a 2-hour dining session.

Session 1: 5:15 PM – 7:15 PM

 

Session 2: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

 

Session 3: 6:45 PM – 8:45 PM

 

Session 4: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Important

• Your dining session begins at your booked time, not your arrival time.

• Late arrival does not extend your session.

• Tables must be vacated at the end of the allocated session.

• Session limits apply to all guests equally.

This policy allows us to:

• Maintain smooth service.

• Prepare tables for incoming guests.

• Avoid overcrowding.

• Ensure fairness to all guests.

💰 PRICING

Prices may change without notice due to supplier costs, market conditions, seasonal availability, and operating expenses.

Public Holiday Surcharge

A 15% surcharge applies on public holidays.

🍽️ BUFFET SERVICE CONDITIONS

All-You-Can-Eat Buffet

Guests may return to the buffet as many times as they wish during their allocated session.

We encourage guests to:

• Take smaller portions initially.

• Return for additional servings as required.

• Help reduce food waste.

Self-Service Buffet

Rock Salt buffet events are designed as high-volume self-service dining experiences.

To provide premium buffet offerings at affordable pricing:

• Buffet food is self-service.

• Drinks are ordered separately from the bar.

• Limited table service may be available.

• Guests seeking full table service should attend regular à la carte dining periods.

🚫 FOOD WASTE POLICY

Excessive Food Waste Charges Apply

Food waste significantly increases operating costs and contributes to higher buffet prices for all guests.

Guests must only take food they reasonably intend to consume.

Wastage Charges

Excessive leftover food may incur a charge of:

$20 per 100 grams of combined leftover food

Examples:

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children's portions.

Management's assessment of food wastage is final.

 

👧 CHILD PRICE – AGE VERIFICATION

 

If there is reasonable uncertainty about whether a guest qualifies for the Under-12 price, Rock Salt staff may politely request reasonable proof of date of birth from the parent or guardian.

If age eligibility cannot reasonably be confirmed, the adult price may apply, and any price difference must be paid before dining.

We kindly ask parents and guardians to book children under the correct age category when making the reservation.

This policy is simply to ensure the same pricing rules are applied fairly to every family and to avoid placing guests or staff in the uncomfortable position of debating a child’s age at the restaurant.

🍽️ BUFFET FOOD RULES

To ensure fairness, food safety, and availability for all guests:

Buffet Food Must:

• Be consumed within the restaurant.

• Not be taken off the premises.

• Not be packed into containers.

• Not be transferred to non-paying guests.

The Following Are Not Permitted:

• Sharing buffet meals with non-paying guests.

• Taking buffet food home.

• Removing serving utensils from buffet stations.

• Returning food to buffet trays once served.

• Tampering with buffet food displays.

Management reserves the right to refuse service where food safety standards are compromised.

🥄 FOOD SAFETY & HYGIENE

Rock Salt complies with Western Australian food safety regulations.

Guests Must:

• Use the serving utensils provided.

• Follow staff directions around buffet stations.

• Maintain hygienic behaviour when using buffet facilities.

Buffet Replenishment

To maintain food quality and safety:

Buffet stations are replenished throughout service.

Temporary gaps may occur while staff:

• Replace trays.

• Refresh food.

• Sanitise stations.

• Conduct temperature checks.

Typical replenishment periods may occur around:

• 5:50 PM

• 6:35 PM

• 7:20 PM

Refilling may take approximately 5–10 minutes.

Guests must allow staff safe access during replenishment.

⚠️ ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Menu items may be identified as:

• GF – Gluten Free

• DF – Dairy Free

However, because buffet dining is self-service:

• Guests may move serving utensils.

• Cross-contact between foods may occur.

• Cross-contamination cannot be completely prevented.

Therefore:

Rock Salt cannot guarantee any dish is completely free from allergens.

Guests with:

• Food allergies

• Anaphylaxis

• Severe intolerances

• Dietary restrictions

Must discuss their requirements with staff before dining.

Guests dine at their own risk regarding allergen exposure.

 

⚠️TEXAS SMOKEHOUSE BUFFET – FOOD SAFETY, DIETARY REQUIREMENTS & GUEST RESPONSIBILITY

 

Guests are responsible for selecting and consuming foods that are appropriate for their own dietary requirements, allergies, intolerances, sensitivities and individual circumstances.

The buffet format provides guests with access to a wide variety of foods, and guests should consume food according to their own tolerance and dietary needs.

Digestive discomfort can occur for many individual reasons, including food sensitivities, allergies, intolerances, changes in diet, consumption of unfamiliar foods, or the quantity and combination of foods consumed.

Rock Salt Restaurant does not represent or guarantee that every food or combination of foods will be suitable for every individual guest.

 

Meat, BBQ & Rich Food Consumption

The Texas Smokehouse Buffet contains a substantial selection of smoked and BBQ meats and accompanying dishes. Some foods may also contain higher levels of fat, salt, sugar, spices, sauces or other ingredients.

Guests should consume these foods according to their individual dietary requirements and personal tolerance.

Rock Salt Restaurant cannot accept responsibility for an adverse reaction arising from a known or undisclosed allergy, intolerance, dietary sensitivity or individual reaction to an ingredient, or where appropriate dietary precautions have not been taken by the guest.

 

By attending the Texas Smokehouse Buffet, guests acknowledge that they are responsible for making appropriate food selections based on their own dietary requirements and personal circumstances and for consuming food within their own tolerance.

These terms are intended to establish reasonable expectations for buffet dining and do not exclude or limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable Australian law.

 

👨‍👩‍👧 CHILDREN & SUPERVISION

Rock Salt is a family-friendly venue.

Parents and Guardians Must:

• Supervise children at all times.

• Accompany children at buffet stations.

• Ensure children behave safely and respectfully.

For Safety Reasons:

The following are not permitted:

• Running inside the venue.

• Playing around buffet stations.

• Climbing on furniture.

• Interfering with staff carrying food or hot items.

Parents remain responsible for any damage or injury caused by children under their supervision.

🍺 ALCOHOL, RSA & LICENSING LAWS

Rock Salt operates under Western Australian liquor licensing laws and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.

Strictly Prohibited:

• Bringing alcohol onto the premises.

• Concealing alcohol in bags, prams, coolers, vehicles, or personal belongings.

• Consuming alcohol not purchased from the venue.

• Supplying alcohol to minors.

• Breaching liquor licensing requirements.

Consequences May Include:

• Immediate removal from the venue.

• Cancellation of booking without refund.

• Refusal of future entry.

• Notification of authorities where required by law.

Management reserves the right to inspect suspicious items where legally permitted.

🚫 OUTSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGES

Unless approved in writing by management prior to attendance:

Guests may not bring:

• Food

• Drinks

• Cakes

• Desserts

• Alcohol

• Catering products

Approved items may attract service or handling fees.

🤝 GUEST CONDUCT

Rock Salt is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests and staff.

Guests Must:

• Treat staff respectfully.

• Treat other guests respectfully.

• Follow staff instructions.

• Respect venue property.

The Following Behaviour May Result In Immediate Removal:

• Abuse of staff.

• Threatening behaviour.

• Aggressive conduct.

• Harassment.

• Intoxication.

• Property damage.

• Theft.

• Fraudulent conduct.

• Disruptive behaviour.

• Refusal to comply with venue policies.

Management decisions regarding guest conduct are final.

💳 BOOKINGS, CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

Reservations

All reservations are subject to availability.

Some events may require:

• Deposits.

• Full prepayment.

• Phone confirmation.

Cancellations

Guests unable to attend should provide as much notice as possible.

Late cancellations may incur charges.

No-Shows

Guests who fail to attend without notice may:

• Lose deposits.

• Be charged applicable no-show fees.

• Be required to prepay future bookings.

• Be refused future bookings.

Repeat no-shows may be permanently refused future reservations.

📸 PHOTOGRAPHY, CCTV & SECURITY

For security, safety, incident management, theft prevention, staff protection, quality assurance, dispute resolution, and lawful business purposes, Rock Salt operates CCTV and video monitoring systems throughout selected areas of the venue.

Areas may include:

• Entrances and exits.

• Dining areas.

• Buffet stations.

• Bar areas.

• Service areas.

• Payment locations.

Footage May Be Used For:

• Security investigations.

• Incident investigations.

• Customer complaints.

• Payment disputes.

• Insurance claims.

• Regulatory compliance.

• Staff training.

• Protection of lawful business interests.

Footage may be disclosed where:

• Required by law.

• Requested by police or regulatory authorities.

• Required for legal proceedings.

• Required by insurers.

📷 MARKETING & PROMOTIONAL IMAGES

Rock Salt may photograph or film:

• Buffet events.

• Venue atmosphere.

• Food displays.

• Live entertainment.

• General customer experiences.

Content may be used on:

• Website

• Facebook

• Instagram

• TikTok

• YouTube

• Google Business Profile

• Printed advertising

Guests may appear incidentally in photographs or videos.

Guests who do not wish to appear should notify management upon arrival and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate the request.

Promotional Images Disclaimer

Some advertising and promotional images may be AI-generated or digitally enhanced and are intended for illustrative purposes only.

⚖️ LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law:

Rock Salt Albany shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special losses arising from attendance at the venue or participation in buffet events.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Guests remain responsible for:

• Personal belongings.

• Their own actions.

• The actions of children under their supervision.

📜 MANAGEMENT RIGHTS

Rock Salt reserves the right to:

• Refuse service.

• Refuse entry.

• Remove guests.

• Cancel bookings.

• Request deposits.

• Refuse future reservations.

• Amend buffet offerings.

• Modify operating procedures.

• Update Terms & Conditions.

Where reasonable, updated Terms & Conditions will be published on the venue website.

✅ ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By booking, paying for, attending, entering, or dining at a Rock Salt Albany buffet event, guests acknowledge and agree that they:

✔ Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.

✔ Accept buffet session limits.

✔ Accept food wastage charges.

✔ Accept liquor licensing requirements.

✔ Accept food safety and allergen risks associated with self-service buffet dining.

✔ Accept booking, cancellation and no-show policies.

✔ Accept CCTV and security monitoring.

✔ Accept venue rules regarding conduct and behaviour.

✔ Accept all applicable fees, surcharges, charges, and policies.

Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions may result in removal from the venue, cancellation of bookings, refusal of future entry, or other action permitted by law.
